“ My wife and I have been coming here for a while now, and we just had lunch today, and it was so good that I really wanted to share pics and comment on our server, Cameron. We have had him a couple of times, and every time, he has been so attentive and nice. He is very attentive but not hovering. He is nice but over talkative. He is exact. We have never had a mistake with him. We asked for roe on the side, and as you can see, it came out perfect. Thank you, we will be back many more times. ”
“ The staff are friendly, polite, and quick. Across multiple visits I've never had to wait long for anything I've ordered, drinks or otherwise, and the food is quite good. Indoors is cute and cozy with some nice decor. Highly recommend for anyone looking for sushi of any sort. ”
“ Visiting from out of state and staying near the downtown so decided to give a try and was not disappointed! For 8:30pm on a Friday night they were absolutely packed which is usually a good sign. We ordered takeout, I called ahead to confirm the order and was assured it was being worked on with the notes I added so customer service was great. The portions were good (sushi rolls were packed!) and the price was definitely fair. Got some ramen for the picky kiddo and they made sure to make it to her preference: Solid all around! Give it a try for a sushi or noodle fix. ”
“ We were seated fast and good thing because the restaurant really filled up after we arrived. I ordered the Tom yum soup with chicken and a crazy dragon roll , I think it may be the best sushi I’ve had in the mountains yet. The restrooms are clean, the staff was always smiling and they have on site parking . A win win ”
“ We have eaten at a couple of places in downtown Waynesville, and I wanted to try this place out next. We came here for a lunch meal. We got the vegetarian tempura asparagus roll to share, and then I got the golden sesame chicken for my meal. My sister got the general tso's chicken meal. The tempura asparagus roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had! It was delicious. I could probably eat a bunch of those rolls in one sitting. The golden sesame chicken was also delicious and it came with white rice. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and had just the right amount of sauce on it. It was a lot of food and lasted me two meals, but could probably stretch to 3-4 meals if you're not a big eater like I am. I do not remember our server's name but they were incredibly nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place! ”
“ We were searching for some gluten free and vegan food that actually had some nutrient density to it, along with flavor. Found this place on the Happy Cow app and so glad that we stopped in. Great service and food. They offer gluten free soy sauce and can make a lot of the dishes gluten free. Some of them can definitely be made vegan also, but not as many can be made both gluten free and vegan. Our server was great and gave me suggestions for what I could have that fit my dietary restrictions. I got the veggie tofu stir fry with brown rice and my husband got the fried rice with tofu. We had the edamame as a starter. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and my husband had an IPA from Highland Brewing in Asheville. Overall, great service, food and atmosphere. Would definitely go back if we're ever in the area again. ”
“ The food is simply amazing. Very fresh, attractively served. Seasoned to perfection. Waitstaff is warm, gracious and knowledgeable. The Ginger Honey Tea was delicious and very pretty. The squid salad is the best that I’ve ever had and I greatly enjoyed my Pad Thai with Shrimp. Portions were large. ”
“ We had a family celebration at Watami in their party room and it was really nice. The food there is always excellent and I enjoyed trying some new types of sushi on this visit. I highly recommend the Biltmore roll! My son had the seafood stuffed eggplant with garlic sauce that was just amazing! I'm ordering that next time. Our server, Gunn, was also very good and our food arrived quickly and all the orders were correct. Good job Watami! ”
